Chat Host Hardware requirements

Hardware requirements include Pentium 3 or 4 computer systems, cameras, and Ethernet adapters. (Studios also may require Ethernet switches, routers, etc)

We would be pleased to provide a complete list of hardware that you can purchase locally from any computer store you wish.

Each computer should have the minimum configuration:

  • Pentium3 800 MHz Computer System or faster.
  • 256 Megabytes of RAM or more.
  • 20 Gigabyte Hard Drive or larger if Chat Host will be recording video.
  • High Speed Internet Access via Cable or DSL (120Kbps upstream or better).
  • Windows compatible 'Webcam'.
  • Microphone, Speakers (optional).
  • Windows 98, 2000, XP and VISTA with latest service packs
  • Free Flash Player from Macromedia Chat Host Encoder
  • Latest Video and Audio Drivers
